What is Zrā„¢ Water?

Zrā„¢ Water is water that has been softened and electrolyzed with our EO Water System. Zrā„¢ Water cleans like soap and eliminates most harmful substances instantly - without harmful chemical additives. The benefit of using this process is that no sticky soap residue is left behind to continue collecting soil after the cleaning. In short, carpets stay cleaner longer and tend to dry faster.

Do you move furniture?

We will help move things up to the size of a three seat sofa or less than 50 pounds as long as the items are free and clear of breakables and electronics. This service is free of charge and by request only. We will clean up to and around larger items such as large entertainment centers, bookshelves, and beds.

Is the carpet wet after the cleaning?

Yes, our hot water extraction cleaning process does leave moisture in the carpet. Typical dry time is anywhere between 6 and 24 hours, depending on the season, airflow in the home, condition and style of carpet being cleaned. It's important to turn on your A/C and fans during and after the service to reduce dry time. It is completely safe to walk on the carpet as long as you're comfortable with the cleanliness of your feet.

Do you have a guarantee? What does it cover?

What is considered a "room" size?

We consider a room size to be an area of 15Ɨ15 feet or less. For rooms that exceed 15Ɨ15 feet, each additional 100 square feet would be subject to an additional charge. The service technician will perform a final price assessment of all areas to be cleaned onsite.

Do you charge for additional rooms?

Rooms between the sizes of 10Ɨ10 to 15Ɨ15 feet start $70.00. Staircases with 10-15 steps are $75.00. Hallways are typically priced at $45.00 and smaller areas are discounted. The service technician will assess all areas to be cleaned onsite for a final quote.

Can I include other items in my carpet cleaning package, such as a couch or area rug?

The Zerorez carpet cleaning packages (1-5 rooms) are only for areas of carpet that are attached to the floor. However, you can book as many of our services into one appointment. We are happy to demonstrate our other cleaning services such as tile, upholstery, and area rug cleaning and provide a quote on-site, just ask your service technician!

How do you clean air ducts and dryer vents?

With our new fleet of H2 Hypervac Trucks- we scrub the entire air duct system with our scorpion air brushes, cleaning trunklines and main plenums with 43.6 CFM HEPA Negative Air and 175 PSI compressor. We clean each individual vent, both the heat registers and cold air returns. *Please note, in order to best serve our Air Duct Cleaning customers and guarantee the most efficient routes, we require at least 48 hour notice of any service cancellation. In the event you cannot provide 48 hour notice, there may be a $50 cancellation fee.

Is a protector applied to the carpet or upholstery?

Your service technician will assess the condition on-site and advise if it is a good idea to reapply fiber protection to your carpet or upholstery after cleaning. This product/service is not included with the price of the cleaning.

How do you treat pet stains and odor? Is there an extra charge for the treatment?

Zerorez understands accidents happen, causing odor and discoloration in your floors. If not properly treated, matter such as urine can create a breeding ground for bacteria and an unhealthy environment.

We offer several treatment methods to clean and refresh areas contaminated by things like urine, blood, and feces. All of these services do incur additional costs and will be assessed onsite by the technician:

Level I Basic Odor Treatment:
We use this method to treat areas that have mild to moderate contamination contained in the surface area of the flooring or fibers.

Level II Advanced Odor Treatment: This is a deep saturation and extraction process used to treat moderate to severe odor issues that have spread into the carpet backing and/or carpet pad.

Level III Replacement: The nature of these issues makes it impossible to guarantee treatment without replacement. Using this method, tack strips, padding and carpeting are replaced. We have partnered with Mohawk and Shaw and can offer very competitive rates and installation with our zFloors flooring division.

There is a charge for the above services. Our service technician must assess the issues onsite in order to determine the best treatment and price.

Can I decline a pet service if it's recommended by a technician?

Yes. Do keep in mind in order to achieve an effective treatment for issues such as urine, odor and staining; it does require additional cleaning procedures and product. Any service recommended by a technician is optional, but certainly encouraged. If you decline a pet treatment it does void our thirty day satisfaction guarantee for that area of your home.

What about area rugs? Can you clean them in the home or do you take them off-site?

Zerorez provides expert care for fine oriental and area rugs safely and effectively in our state-of-the-art Rug Wash facility at our St. Louis Park location. For added convenience, we offer pick up and delivery in the metro area or we extend a discount if you drop off and pick up the rugs at our facility. Rug Wash Facility Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm and Fridays 8am-4pm.

Do you offer any in-home cleaning products I can buy?

Yes. We offer two products for in-home cleaning. The first is a general spotting kit ideal for cleaning up food, soda, coffee, general soiling, etc. The second is an enzyme deodorizer that is great for pet stains and other odors in the home. These are available for purchase during your service appointment. *Ask about our air purification products also available for purchase!

What areas do you service?

We service an approximate 50 mile radius from our office in St. Louis Park, MN. We also service the St. Cloud Metro area. Service minimums may apply. Call for more details.

What should I do before Zerorez arrives for my appointment?

It is important to vacuum thoroughly and clean prior to your appointment. We kindly ask that you remove items such as lamps, picture frames and other fragile items from tabletops and clear floor of toys, books and other small items. Please also ensure there is an entrance to the home or building that is unobstructed.

What days are you open?

Zerorez provides service to our customers Monday - Saturday. And for our Commercial customers, we provide both day and night time appointments 7 days a week for added convenience.

Do I have to be home for the cleaning?

While we prefer you are home during your appointment, it is not required. We do appreciate having an adult present to confirm the areas that will be cleaned, discuss options and address any concerns we may encounter during the service. Please know all of our service technicians full-time employees and are insured and bonded. We collect payment onsite after the cleaning so if you are not going to be home, please be sure the customer service representative is notified at time of scheduling so we can arrange payment.

Is there a discount if I schedule on the same day as my neighbor?

Yes! If you and a neighbor schedule an appointment for the same day, back to back, we can apply a 10% discount to each party. Schedule as many neighbors as you can so you all can benefit from a great deal! This may not however be combined with other discounts or promotions. Call for details!

How often should I get my carpet cleaned?

Carpet manufactures recommend your carpet to be professionally cleaned every 12-18 months with a hot water extraction process. This will vary however depending on the usage your carpet gets. Factors include number of people, pets, outdoor environment and how well carpet is maintained between cleanings. We advise you check the warranty information on your carpet. Most carpet manufactures require you have your carpets professionally cleaned every 12-18 months in order to keep the warranty valid on your carpet.

What are the black lines around the baseboards and under doorways?

This is especially noticed on light colored carpet. This soiling is called filtration soiling because it comes from air passing through the carpet as it is attempting to get through the space between the carpet and the baseboard or closed door. This occurs over a significant period of time and is not noticed until a build-up has occurred.

This type of soiling is difficult to remove because the soil particles are so fine that they penetrate deep into the carpet pile and often into the backing of the carpet. With special effort, reasonable results can sometimes be achieved. To help prevent filtration soiling, vacuum and wipe the edges of the carpet on a regular basis.
