How long does Zerorez take to dry?
According to decades of surveys, the biggest complaint about carpet cleaning is how long it takes carpets to dry. Zerorez has faster-drying times in two ways. First, leaving less water behind by using our proprietary Zr™ Wand with water control technology, creating a high-powered rinse and suction to extract dirt and debris from carpet fibers without flooding. Second, we use specially-designed fans (air movers) to increase airflow and reduce the dry time. The results? Carpets that are ready to be walked on just hours after cleaning.
Does Zerorez get stains out of carpet?
The Zerorez process with our proprietary Zr™ Wand can usually get stubborn spots out. However, for bigger problems, we have a specialized method to remove the deepest spots through a sub-extraction procedure, treating the carpet backing, pad, and sometimes the subfloor.

Does Zerorez clean with harsh chemicals?
No. Zerorez technology cleans carpets with Zr™ Water, an alkaline cleaning solution. Its scientifically altered molecular structure breaks down dirt, grease, and odor-producing substances, removing spots on carpets. Zr™ Water replaces the need for harmful soaps or detergents that most traditional cleaners use. Without foam or soapy residue bonding to carpet fibers and attracting dust and dirt over time, your carpets dry faster and stay cleaner longer. Zr™ Water is safe for people, pets, and the planet as an all-natural cleaning solution.
Zerorez uses a pre-treatment spray and spot-treatments (as needed) which do contain various cleaning agents but they are removed and cleaned away with Zr™ Water. The optional Carpet Protector applied after we clean contains some chemicals, but it meets industry safety standards.
How much does Zerorez charge for carpet cleaning?
Each franchise location sets their pricing locally. Typically Zerorez charges per room. A room, in most locations, is considered to be an area ranging from 200 to 250 square feet. Other areas, like hallways, staircases, bathrooms, areas rugs, etc., are priced separately, so please check with your local franchise for an estimate based on all your unique cleaning needs.
What days are Zerorez open?
Each franchise has their own set hours, but generally for residential cleaning our franchises are open Monday through Saturday. Please contact your local franchise for specific hours of operation.
Is there a cancellation fee if I have to cancel my appointment?
Cancelation fees may apply. Please contact us for our cancelation policy. We understand life is busy and unexpected things can change your schedule. We will be as flexible as possible, so we appreciate you giving us as much notice as possible (preferably a few days) so that we can adjust our schedule to accommodate the change.
Do I need to be home for Zerorez to clean?
While we prefer that you or someone of accountable age be home during your appointment, it is not required. We do appreciate having someone there to confirm the areas that will be cleaned, discuss options and address any concerns we may encounter during the service. All of our Service Technicians are employees, not sub-contractors and we are fully insured. Normally we collect payment when we have completed the work so if you are not going to be home, please make arrangements with our Customer Service Representative for payment and so we can gain access to the property (keys, codes and how we lock up when we are done).
Does Zerorez move large items, breakables, or electronics?
We ask that you have all the small items you want out of the room before we arrive or arrange with your local Zerorez franchise to help you with moving the smaller items.
- Due to liability concerns, we do not move large or heavy furniture like pianos, entertainment centers, bookcases, large beds or other similarly heavy items.
- We do not move breakable items or electronics like televisions, game systems, computers, lamps, etc. Your technician will do a great job cleaning around any items left in the room.
