Universal Studios Orlando Florida
Universal Studios Florida is a TV and movie-based theme park that attracts millions of visitors each year. One of the things that makes Universal Studios Florida exciting to visit is that many of the structures and buildings within the park are modeled after sets from famous movies and television shows. According to the Attractions Magazine, Universal Studios Florida ranks number 6 in the top most attended theme parks in North America. Starting in 1986, Universal Studios Florida announced that they would be building a theme park and planned to have it finished by the end of 1989. That same year, on a swamp, the land began to be prepared for the park's construction. The park was finished in May 1990 and opened up admissions for park visitors.
The park itself is split into eight themed areas: Hollywood, Woody Woodpecker's Kidzone, Springfield, World Expo, London/Diagon Alley, San Francisco, New York City, and production Central. Each of these themed areas is home to a variety of rides and attractions, and are placed around a Lagoon of water that at nighttime presents a water show featuring popular movies, TV shows, and blockbuster films. In Production Central, you will find a Despicable Me Minion simulator ride, a Shrek 4-D film, a music-themed roller coaster, an amphitheater for music performances, a Transformers 3D ride, and a Superstar parade featuring a variety of animated characters. The New York City-themed area of Universal Studios features a preview center for future films, a musical stage featuring the Blues Brothers, a mummy themed indoor roller coaster, and an attraction based on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show. In the year of 2018, the San Francisco themed area brought on a new ride based on The Fast and Furious. World Expo features a live Fear Factor stunt stage show and a Med in Black shooting ride. The Springfield theme area features a simulator ride and a spinning ride based on The Simpsons. Woody Woodpecker's Kidzone area is home to a live stage show with talented animals doing tricks, a sing-a-long stage with Barney and his friends, a Curious George play area, a Woody Woodpecker family roller coaster, a children's playground with An American Tail theme, and an E.T. bike ride adventure. The Hollywood themed area is home to a live stage that features a makeup show with horror movie-themed makeup, a live-action show called Marilyn and the Diamond Bellas, and a live-action stunt show based on the Jason Bourne movies.
In addition to Universal Studios, there are many other parts of Universal Orlando that make it the perfect vacation destination. Universal's Islands of Adventure is a roller coaster wonderland. The theme of this adventure park is superheroes and magical creatures. Each of the rides in this park is detailed and exciting for visitors of all ages. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is one attraction within Universal's Islands of Adventure that cannot be missed. Here the books and movies of Harry Potter come to life when you step inside Hogwarts Castle and wander around Hogsmeade Village.
